Data Delete Instructions
A common way to provide data deletion instructions on your website is to create a dedicated page that clearly explains the process. This page is often linked from your privacy policy or your app’s settings.
Here is a sample of what those instructions might look like, based on the requirements of platforms like Meta and general data privacy best practices:
Data Deletion Instructions
If you would like to request that we delete the data associated with your use of our application and website, you can do so by following these steps.
1. Deleting Your Data via Facebook
If you logged into our application using your Facebook account, you can remove our access to your data directly through your Facebook settings:
Go to your Facebook Settings & privacy, and then click on Settings.
Navigate to the Apps and websites section.
Find our application and click Remove.
Confirm that you want to remove the app.
This action will revoke our app’s access to your Facebook data. Please note that it may not immediately delete all data already stored on our servers.
2. Requesting Data Deletion from Us
To ensure all your data is permanently deleted from our servers, please send a data deletion request to [your email address for data requests, e.g., privacy@myiad.net.
In your email, please include:
Your full name as it appears on your account.
The email address associated with your account.
The user ID from your profile (if applicable).
A clear statement that you are requesting the deletion of all personal data.
We will process your request and confirm the deletion within 5 business days.
Remember, this is a general template. You should consult with legal counsel to ensure your data deletion policy and instructions are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, such as GDPR or CCPA.
